Hydroseeding and erosion control across Wellington
A selection of projects we have completed for homeowners, builders, developers and councils. Each photo notes the process or stage being shown.
New lawn hydroseeding
-
Johnsonville School sports field — lawn hydroseeding project. -
New lawn established by hydroseeding. -
Applying the hydroseed slurry to a freshly prepared lawn area. -
Spraying the seed, mulch, fertiliser and water mix in even passes. -
Working towards full coverage — the green mulch shows where the mix has landed. -
Hydroseeding in progress on a new residential lawn. -
Hydroseeding pram in use — ideal for smaller residential lawns and tight access. -
Our VX2000 hydroseeder on site, mixing and pumping the slurry. -
Applying the hydroseed mix by hand-held hose for accurate coverage. -
New lawn established with our LPS Fast Grass seed blend. -
Site prepared and hydroseeded — ready for germination. -
Raumati Beach — applying the hydroseed mix on a coastal lawn site. -
Two weeks after hydroseeding — first flush of germination coming through. -
Raumati Beach — established lawn a few weeks after hydroseeding. -
Waikanae — completed hydroseed application on a new lawn. -
Fine fescue lawn — dense, even cover established from a hydroseed mix. -
Fine fescue lawn fully established — result of hydroseeding plus aftercare. -
Tall fescue close-up — strong, healthy turf grown from a hydroseed application.
Erosion control & slope stabilisation
-
The hydroseeding process — seed, mulch, fertiliser and water sprayed as a slurry to bind to the soil. -
Slope hydroseeding — applying the protective mulch and seed mix to a bare bank. -
Dust control — hydroseed slurry sprayed over exposed ground to lock down loose surface and prevent airborne dust. -
Slope stabilisation — full hydroseed coverage binding the soil and protecting the slope from erosion. -
Steep slope hydroseeding — stabilising a difficult bank that would be unsafe to seed by hand. -
Hydroseeding a hard-to-reach slope using our long-reach, remote-access equipment. -
Dune slope — before: exposed coastal sand vulnerable to wind erosion. -
Dune slope — after: hydroseed coverage locking down the sand while grass establishes. -
Road slip — protecting the freshly exposed cut with a hydroseed mix to prevent further loss. -
French Pass — applying the hydroseed mix to a remote coastal slope. -
French Pass — completed erosion control with the slope fully protected. -
Peka Peka — initial hydroseed application on an exposed bank. -
Peka Peka — full mulch and seed coverage across the slope. -
Peka Peka — established grass after hydroseeding, the slope now stable. -
Peka Peka — second view of the same slope, grass cover holding the soil in place. -
Peka Peka — fully stabilised slope, dense grass preventing further erosion. -
Wainuiomata Hill — bank stabilisation with a hydroseed application. -
Hebden Crescent — slope hydroseeding to control erosion on residential ground. -
Grounsell Ridge — hydroseed application across an exposed ridge slope. -
284 Grounsell — hydroseeding a cut slope on the property boundary. -
2 Natusch — erosion control hydroseeding on a residential bank. -
80 Korokoro — bank stabilisation with a full hydroseed application. -
482 Moores Valley Road — roadside slope hydroseeded to control runoff. -
Summit Road — slope hydroseeded to protect the cut against weathering. -
Slope stabilisation in progress — even hydroseed coverage across the bank. -
